LAURA CASANOVAS

Laura Casanovas has a degree in Arts with a specialty in Plastic Arts from the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires (Honors Diploma). She is a journalist graduated from the University School of Journalism. She worked 15 years in the newspaper La Nacion, focusing on topics of culture, art, literature and education. She was Press Officer at the Modern Art Museum of Buenos Aires. She has been writing art criticism in Ñ Magazine, Clarin newspaper, and in the Culture section for the last decade, as well as for other media, in Argentina and abroad. Casanovas does curatorial and research work in visual arts for public and private institutions. She coordinates courses and master classes about writing, art and literature. In 2004 she published the book of poems Pesquisa (Editorial Siesta). She is a member of the Argentine Association of Art Critics (AACA) and lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
