JOSÉ LUIS VALENZUELA

Was born in the city of Salta. He is a director, educator and theatre researcher. He has worked as a professor at several national universities, a profession he continues to carry out today. He has directed more than forty productions and has participated in national and international festivals, presenting his works in cities in the Americas and in Europe. His publications include: De Barba a Stanislavski (1993, San Luis), Antropología Teatral y Acciones Físicas (2000, Buenos Aires), Las Piedras Jugosas. Aproximación al teatro de Paco Giménez (2004, Buenos Aires), Robert Wilson: la locomotora dentro del fantasma (2004, Buenos Aires). He also published four essays on the theatre of Jujuy (between 2012 and 2015, Jujuy). He also wrote of his interest in Patagonian theatre in Migrantes y francotiradores. La disolución de fronteras como dispositivo de creación en las teatralidades patagónicas (2020, Buenos Aires). Recently, he published De la palabra encontrada al dispositivo escénico (Buenos Aires, 2020), Bye-bye, Stanislavski? (2021, Los Ángeles-Buenos Aires) and La mirada antropológica.
