Book:
El Bosque ignorado
The ignored forest. Sculptures [El bosque ignorado. Esculturas] brings together sculptures by the artist Gabriela López, born in La Pampa, Argentina. The digital book presents a network of knowledge and relationships between researchers and art connoisseurs: an archaeologist, a biologist, an anthropologist, a discourse analyst and, finally, a philosopher of art construct a universe in relation to the caldén and around Gabriela's sculptures. Throughout the ebook, this significant ignored forest resounds, it can be seen in the sculptures, in the power of the line left by the tools, in the softness of the girls' gestures and postures, in the texts that, with different perspectives, help to assign new meanings to life and, without violence, to think of ourselves as inhabiting these landscapes. The e-ditorial Bosquemadura bets that art, in its work, also favours the defence of forests, showing stories, figures, plundering and exploitation so that knowledge generates more respect, ecological dignity and more life. This ebook defies the usual in an art publication because by contributing with other scientific and social knowledge we accompany readers to a greater enjoyment of art.
