ANA CALVIÑO

Ana Calviño is a Biologist and has a PhD in Biological Sciences granted by the National Córdoba University (UNC); she is also an researcher of CONICET in the Multidisciplinary Institute of Plant Biology. Ana began her studies on the reproduction of native plants in the dry Chaco of the province of Córdoba and especially on the ecological interaction of plants with their pollinating animals. She currently works on the conservation of biodiversity in urban systems and particularly on rehabilitation strategies of the ecological interactions of cities through the use of native vegetation. She has written numerous scientific articles and is the coauthor of a book about the cultivation of native plants from the central argentinian region; Ana has actively participated in diverse projects in the public communication of science.
