ALINA PEÑA IGUARÁN
				
				
					Alina Peña Iguarán is a research professor at ITESO, the Jesuit University of Guadalajara, and a member of the National System of Researchers, Level I. She holds a PhD from Boston University and specializes in war, memory, and subjectivity in the narrative of the Mexican Revolution. She conducted her postdoctoral research on art and the border in Tijuana, El Colef. She currently works on the tensions at the intersection of aesthetic practices, politics, and social action, focusing on biopolitics, memory, and subjectivity in contexts of violence and migration. She is a member of the Hemispheric Encounters network and the International Studies of the Gaze Network. She is a member of the Intemperie working group.
