MARCELO SILVA CANTONI
				
				
					Marcelo Silva Cantoni holds a PhD in Literature and a BA in Modern Literature from the National University of Córdoba. He teaches at the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities at the same university, where he works in the areas of literary studies and critical discourse studies. His research focuses on performance, artistic practices, and critical perspectives of coloniality. He has published books and articles in various specialized journals. He is the author of The Desert and Its Silences: Postcolonial Imaginaries of the Nation in Argentina (2019). San Juan: Chamber of Deputies Publishing House, a work that won second prize in the Jorge Leonidas Escudero competition. He currently has Performance and Coloniality: An Archive of Guillermo Gómez-Peña and La Pocha Nostra (2025) in press. Mendoza: Qellqasqa Publishing House, National University of Cuyo. He is the editor-in-chief of the Heterotopías Journal of the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities at the UNC.
