LAURA MALOSETTI COSTA
				
				
					PhD in History Art from the University of Buenos Aires, Full Academician of the National Academy of Fine Arts of Argentina, Senior Researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET). She is also a regular Professor of 19th century Argentine and Latin American Art (IDAES-UNSAM School). She is Dean of the School of Art and Heritage - UNSAM since March 2021. She has been a regular lecturer in Theory and Historiography of the Visual Arts and History of the Plastic Arts of the 19th century at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of UBA and directed the Master in History of Argentine and Latin American Art at the Instituto de Altos Estudios Sociales (IDAES) of the Universidad Nacional de San Martín. She has received numerous scholarships and grants and is a visiting researcher at universities in Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Brazil and Uruguay, among others. She is the author of numerous articles and several books on Argentine and Latin American art, among them: Los primeros modernos. Arte y sociedad en Buenos Aires a fines del siglo XIX (Buenos Aires, FCE, 2001, republished in 2021), Retratos Públicos, Pintura y fotografía en la construcción de Imágenes heroicas en América Latina desde el siglo XIX (Buenos Aires, FCE, 2022).
