Luisa Dominguez holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) as well as a degree in Modern Literature with a Technical Certificate in Literary Correction from the National University of Córdoba (UNC). Between 2015 and 2020, she used her PhD Research Grant from the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) to conduct an investigation of the study of indigenous languages from a historical perspective. She has published several articles in specialized journals. She has worked as a coordinator of teams of proofreaders for national and international companies. She is a member of research team conducting the Multi-Annual Research Project (PIP), “Filología y archivo en el Sur de América (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, 1830-1930). Contribuciones para una historia política y material de la lengua americana” (“Philology and archives in the South of America (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, 1830-1930). Contributions to a political and material history of the American language”), led by Dr Juan Antonio Ennis, and is also part of the Scientific and Technological Research Project (PICT) “Interacciones entre lenguas y territorios en el pasado y en el presente. Ecología lingüística en Fuegopatagonia” (“Interactions between languages and territories in the past and present. Linguistic Ecology in Fuegopatagonia”), led by Dr Marisa Malvestitti and Dr Máximo Farro. She is also a university lecturer at UNC and UBA. She resides in the city of Córdoba, Argentina.
